How we handle your information

Last updated August 28, 2026.

The Rooted Path helps families during a difficult time, and the trust that requires extends to how we handle the personal information shared with us. This page explains what we collect, why, and how it's protected.

What we collect

When you submit the consultation request form on this site, we collect the information you choose to provide: your name, email address, phone number (if given), your role in the estate (such as executor or surviving spouse), and any details you share about your situation. We don't collect anything beyond what the form asks for, and every field except name, email, and your message is optional.

How the form works

Consultation requests are processed by Formspree, a third-party form service. When you submit the form, your information is sent directly to Formspree, which delivers it by email to The Rooted Path. Formspree's own privacy policy governs how it handles data in transit and in its systems. We don't use a separate analytics or advertising service to track form submissions.

How we use it

We use the information you submit for one purpose: to respond to your consultation request and, if you choose to work with us, to provide our estate administration coordination services. We do not use your information for marketing unrelated to your request, and we do not sell, rent, or share your information with third parties for their own marketing purposes.

Who can see it

Consultation request notifications go to Amanda Maxfield, founder of The Rooted Path, with an administrative copy retained for the operation of the business. We don't share the contents of your submission with attorneys, accountants, or other professionals unless you engage our services and direct us to coordinate with them on your behalf.

How long we keep it

Form submissions are retained in Formspree for up to 30 days under our current plan, and separately in the email inbox they're delivered to for as long as needed to respond to your request or provide services. If you engage us as a client, information related to your estate is retained for as long as reasonably necessary to the engagement and any applicable recordkeeping obligations.

Requesting deletion

You can ask us to delete the information you've submitted at any time by emailing amanda@rootedestate.com. We'll remove it from our records, except where we're required to retain it for legal, tax, or professional recordkeeping reasons, or where it's necessary to complete a service already underway.

Cookies and tracking

This site does not use cookies, analytics, or advertising trackers of its own.
